Step 1 :Run  FreeTime DVD Author:

You will get 4 choices:

a.  make a VCD/SVCD/DVD disc from source clips directly

b. convert video to vob format

c. create the DVD menu

d. just burn the existent VCD/SVCD/ DVD format to VCD/SVCD/DVD disc

Step 2.Choose function a  

You can choose the output disc format,  and then click button to save the setting, the following window will pop up. If you want to back to the main window, please click button  　

• Add  source clips to source list.

• Do some options as your need: preview, set the begin point, set the end point and save picture, and click to go to next step. (DVD menu creator). 

Step 3:DVD Menu Creator

• Choose background and design the arrange of these clips

• Edit menu's and text's title

Step 4:Video Disc Builder

1:There are two options (preference picture quality and preference conversion speed ),if you choose preference speed, that will ignore image exact quality and use less hard disk space after conversion task. But there will be few mosaic image existing when you play it. If the source film is clear ,big and  need to save more films with less space ,you can choose speed preference. By contraries, you can choose quality preference.

2: Working folder is very important for FT DVD Author, the software need to save some files when converting and burning . And the target DVD will be saved in the working folder which you choose to burn to disc directly. 

So, you have to make sure that there is enough free disk space in your hard disc . Generally speaking , to create a 4.2G DVD you need 8.4 G free disk space. When all the jobs are finished ,the software will release the free space. You'd better set the largest disk root for the working folder. (better lager than 5 GB)

3: Select the output DVD in NTSC or PAL format. The resolution of DVD film is720〜480(NTSC)or720〜576(PAL)

4: Select the burner device ,you need to install burner  device before using this software so that you can run the software successfully.

5:Save the current setting and begin conversion and burning task .If you can not start the burning job, please check your burner whether ok or not.

6:Done and enjoy your film.

• Choose your working folder, the output media will be saved in the working folder before burning it to disc.

• You need to set the split size, the software will split the output file to your specify size, and then you can use the burn function to burn to disc.

• After you set all options for your DVD, please press the start button. Then you will get your first DVD.
