Connecting DV Camcorder to the 1394 interface
Use an 1394 cable to connect your DV camcorder to the 1394 port.
Check first the pin connectors used on your camcorder and your
computer before purchasing it. Most DV camcorders have a 4-pin
connector, whereas desktop computers that come with 1394 ports or
installed with 1394 cards usually have 6-pin connectors.
Connecting web camera to USB port on your
computer

To capture live video and still images from a web camera,
connect the camera to an USB port on your computer.

Generally speaking, web cameras may require installation of a
driver. How to install your web camera that is told by
accompanying manual.

After installing your web camera successfully, check if it is
detected by your Windows system.
To check if the web camera is
detected:

Open the main interface of FT DV Story, check if your web
camera is listed in the device list.

If your web camera has been detected properly, it will be
listed as a source device in FT DV Story's select window.
Installing codec
We intensively recommend Xvid
codec and Mpeg codec to help you getting higher quality
pictures.
